Starting from Seed

A growing season begins long before the first bloom. This is a look at how we start small seeds with enough warmth, moisture, light, and patience to give them a real chance.

Start with a clean tray and a seed-starting mix made for young roots.
Follow the packet for planting depth; some seeds need light to germinate.
Keep the mix evenly moist, not waterlogged.
Add strong light as soon as seedlings emerge.
Label every variety and record what works for the next round.

Our rule: observe the tray in front of you and adjust before following a schedule blindly.
